October

Titled "October", this first web page contains the first pictures I have ever taken on my film camera. These photos are a good way to create visual souvenirs of what we did that day, and what we saw. In this case, my friends and I decided to go out and venture in Chinatown, where we were able to find many neat little spots to photograph, and then found ourselves strolling in Montreal's Old Port only a few hours later.

In many ways, my new hobby has permitted me to revisit my own city, which was something that I had not done in years, and it seems as though now that I have a camera, it is excusable to act like a tourist in my own city. As an example of this, this photo series permitted me to discover parts of Montreal I had never visited, not even as a young child or with my school, and some that I had not visited in a long time, and it was refreshing to see how multicultural and beautiful Montreal really is. Indeed, these neighbourhoods we visited were full of life and unique architecture, as well as excellent restaurants many were flocking to. All in all, it is from this photo series that I knew that film photography was definitely something that I enjoyed, and it made me do things that I would not have done otherwise. Without further ado, here are some of my favourite pictures from my visit to Chinatown and the Old Port.
